We love to dispel the misconception that WordPress is “just a blogging platform.” Sure, it’s great at that. But it’s capable of much more. As an example, take the WordPress website we recently designed and built for CC GROW, a Colorado start-up that aims to make farming fun and accessible for city-dwellers.

The responsive, mobile-optimized site does feature a nicely designed blog and community area, but its primary focus is the “Phytotheca” plant database, which offers resources for the care and cultivation of over 400 plants (and counting). This complex, filterable resource center, along with the other, more standard areas of the site, are all controlled via a custom WordPress backend. Check out the site for yourself at ccgrow.com.
