The DD9 Process
Our process begins with design discovery and technology requirements meeting, often right here at our studio in north Boulder with a view of the Flatirons. We will hash through architecture, functionality requirements, technologies and site goals. Then we create rough wireframes and database schema and definitions. The first stage concludes when we hit the drawing board and start designing the master site templates.
The design stage focuses on the creation of the mocks-up, a.k.a. comps. These comps establish core elements of the site, including basic layout, navigation, color scheme, font styles & text formatting, logo placement, and sets the tone for the brand. We typically complete a couple rounds of revisions on the leading template design.
Once the comps are approved, we will convert the design into HTML/CSS theme files. While this takes place, our development team is busy creating the back-end foundation and customizing the content management system (CMS). Finally, we apply the theme files, add JavaScript interaction, and debug. We test across all modern browsers, and popular legacy versions as well.
The DD9 Results
When complete, DD9 will deliver a custom, consistent, professional, and expandable website, coded-to-suit, right here in the Front Range. Following site launch, we typically assume the webmaster role, providing support services, deploying expansion modules and implementing new features as requested.
