Visjou is an online community where people with a love of travel and fashion can share Lookbooks created from their own image library. DD9 was responsible for all aspects of execution, including logo design, site architecture, UI design and Ruby on Rails development. The website is optimized for mobile devices and features a highly-tailored, responsive design.
The core of the web application is the Lookbook Creator, which enables users to creatively arrange images that they’ve “packed” to their private libraries. Users can also add details related to their Lookbooks and travel goals, ranging from trip itineraries to packing lists and budget plans. The social media aspects of the site include favoriting, commenting, sharing, private messaging and “re-packing” images from other Lookbooks. Users can browse Lookbooks by a number of criteria, such as Travel Region, User Age and User Style.
